How the Leadership Accelerator Began
This program began when Orthodox Deacon Michael Hyatt, serving in the Antiochian tradition, developed principles for business leaders to live faithfully in both work and family life, through his Business Accelerator program. When His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael and seven brother priests participated in this business-focused program, they recognized the need for formation specifically designed for Orthodox pastoral ministry.
Under Metropolitan Nathanael’s guidance, the Reverend David Limiero, who had served as mentor to His Eminence and the participating priests during their time in the Business Accelerator, was asked to adapt these principles for Orthodox clergy. Father Panagiotis Boznos later joined to ensure full alignment with Orthodox theology and tradition.
For four years, we have witnessed remarkable transformation in the lives of participating priests and their parishes, while maintaining fidelity to Orthodox teaching and practice.
How the Leadership Accelerator Began
July 2023:
David starts coaching His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael and seven priests through the Business Accelerator program.
September 2023:
Deacon Michael Hyatt, His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael, and Reverend David Limiero recognize the need for clergy-specific adaptation. David is asked to design and lead the program.
December 2024
Cohort 1, with His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael and 7 priests, graduates from the program.
January 2025:
Cohort 3 launches with 8 priests from the Metropolis of Chicago.
September 2025:
Holy Eparchial Synod approves national expansion.
October 2025:
The program shifts to an academic year, and Cohort 4 starts with 8 priests from the Metropolis of Chicago. Fr. Panagiotis Boznos joins as theological advisor and facilitator.
December 2025:
Cohort 2, with 8 priests from the Metropolis of Chicago, graduates from the program.
January 2026:
Plans for national expansion begin with the Archdiocesan Presbyters Council (APC) coordinating program enrollment.
Holy Synod Approval & Oversight
The Leadership Accelerator is approved by the Holy Eparchial Synod of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael of Chicago offers program oversight as a liaison to the Synod.
Every aspect of the curriculum has been carefully reviewed and structured to reflect and uphold Orthodox theology and pastoral priorities. With Father Panagiotis Boznos serving as theological advisor and Father Mark Leondis serving as facilitator and coach, the program ensures that leadership principles are integrated in ways fully consistent with Orthodox teaching.
We uphold the timeless principles of stewardship, community, and balanced living that have always shaped the Orthodox tradition, offering them in a clear and systematic way to meet today's pastoral challenges.
Growing Across the Church
Over 30 priests across four cohorts serving parishes in three Metropolises (Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco).
With Holy Synod approval, the program will expand nationally with cohorts launching in fall 2026 across all nine Metropolises.
To support Orthodox clergy nationwide in achieving the Double Win (effective ministry and sustainable personal life) while building brotherhood among priests across the entire Church.
